Do airplanes have power plug-ins?

This flight to Costa Rica is 7 hours. I've never been on a flight that long before, I hate flying. I am going to go nuts so I'm trying to think of things I can do. So far I have MP3 player and movies... however, the laptop will only run for a couple hours on battery. I think I've heard some airlines have AC plugs, where can I get more information about this?

some planes have those special power plugs that u get an adaptor for.

how long is a piece of string?

What airline?
what flight# or aircraft type?
What cabin class?

Generally, anything smaller than a 767 won't have power for you to use anywhere. This includes 727,737,757,767(in some cases), a320,a330(in some cases)

Otherwise, depending on the above class/airline ... there will be a thing called empower where you need a special adapter ($20) or straight up 110 power plugs. Empower systems won't power widescreen notebooks.

some planes offer this in business & first class... a few air lines are offering in flight wi-fi (ie lufthansa and others) I think its called Boing Jet Connect

I've read that KLM provides that services in world class (or anything like that)

Books & magazines are good for power-free entertainment. You can get universal laptop batteries for a longer computer fix.

You need a new laptop
My samsum m40 plus came with 2 batteries (on default) and has power for more than 10 hours :)
no need for power plugs (btw.. I can max 12 hours when the 17" screen is dark)

Whew, I really lucked out because on the top of my list of things I'm stressed out worrying about today is:

1. Get owned on GFY
