Is your pay per signup only paying 35 per member that converts from trial or is it 35 per 3 day trial?

We have two programs, either you can get paid $20 up front per trial, without worrying about the member staying on after the trial, or you can opt for the $35 per active member, that means you get paid as soon as the member's trial membership is expired and he becomes an active member..
