seems like no1 wants design work lately
 

anyone notice lke the last 2 months or so no ones been wanting any design work here or anywhere lately. I'd think since winters coming it would pick up since all the master-baitors are going to be inside more.

Tell me about it!!! I hired Voodoo like months ago. I haven't heard shit from that guy in well over a month. I hit him up, I even asked for him on his own fucking board and he still won't answer. This is just an assumption, but I think he died in hurricane Katrina.

Everyone has wised up and all that's left are third world designers working for peanuts.

Funny thing is at one point GFY had a designer overload.
I guess they all killed each other somehow.

BINGO! That and they realize that they can make more doing shit for themselves.

Too many people here want $100 paysite tours with 5 complete revisions on top of it.

I haven't designed adult in over 14 months now...and I am gainfully employed at a mainstream company making 6-figures.

There are people on this board that KNOW what good design is worth to their program...and they tend to hire in-house only and put a strangle-hold on their employees...which I think is wise and good for all parties involved.

And on another note regarding your comments, these cheapos wanting design for nothing are ensuring they will make less because the designers ARE getting fed up and making shit for themselves, as you said, making more competition for the people who need design work and now can't get it :winkwink:

Design work is a lot like photography...a lot of people wanting it dirt cheap and giving it no value.

I used to do banners and website graphics for others, but stopped awhile ago because cheap-ass clients thought minimum wage was a fair shake.

Those who know little or nothing about graphics have no clue what's involved creating them. To them its something you just 'whip up' during or your spare time or lunch hour.

Sorry, I don't live in a third world country. My prices are cheap because I am a good designer, not a great designer. A few more years and I will be the best designer. So I guess Itotally missed your "point".
