U.S. Torture [PIC]

Bush: We don't do this:
http://www.indybay.org/uploads/iraq_torture_a.jpg

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051107/...NlYwMlJVRPUCUl
PANAMA CITY, Panama - President Bush vigorously defended U.S. interrogation practices in the war on terror Monday and lobbied against a congressional drive to outlaw torture. "There's an enemy that lurks and plots and plans and wants to hurt America again," Bush said. "So you bet we will aggressively pursue them but we will do so under the law." He declared, "We do not torture."

I think hes getting a pretty fair shake IMHO.

phonesex 11-07-2005 12:41 PM

USA has an underground torture camp and probably all over the world. Why do you think USA has so many enemies.

He should be thankful for that box to stand on. The floor might've been a little chilly on his feet.

Torture is def not the way to go. Been proven that info you get from torture often is not true. MAIN REASON: if our troops our captured by a government (not terrorsist) you hope that in return that government DOES NOT torture our troops. It will also encourage the enemy to surrender a losing fight thus saving lives on both sides if they know they won't be tortured. On the other hand they will fight to last breath even if facing a sure death if they think they will be treated with harm. Thus resulting in more casulties for both sides.

AND is against the Geneva Convention which we should stand by. Here is link for it if you wish to read up on it:

That guy doesn't know that, but your guys at the white house knows it for sure, maybe you are torturing the wrong people? Or maybe you are tortured by your own people?

Wake Up.

aico 11-07-2005 01:32 PM

I would love to personally thank Bush and all the fucking politicians who some how feel they speak for the American people. No fucking wonder every country in the World hates me.

imaginax 11-07-2005 01:50 PM

i dont rant about people loving people, or people loving countries.

government is business.

Lets think for a moment.... whether yer country is USA, China, Antarctica, Bumblefukita, wherever... Say your gov has a POW that they seriously believe is withholding information that could save thousands, millions of lives / generations, including yours - but the only way to get that info out of him is from torture. Are you gonna stand up and bitch about his rights then, with all that on the line? Seriously.

yea, ok, they could be wrong / have the wrong guy. Oops. Oh well.

"better safe than sorry"

The "torture" (ie not torture at all, but putting pants on heads, making people lie on top of each other, laughing at their penises, etc) took place on one day and was not part of US policy. It was a bunch of soldiers having a laugh at the prisoners' expense.

So there.

Pleasurepays 11-07-2005 03:11 PM

i think we should try to hug the information out of terrorists. surprised that hasn't been tried yet.

Every fucking intelligence agency tortures, by either kidnapping your family, hurting a loved one, destroying a business. or physically hurting you.

Sometimes it's as simple as threatening to uncover something you did.
It's called interrogation they don't interrogate you unless they really need to know something. And when they really need to know something tehy will do anything to you to get it.

What people don't normally grasp is that you're going to die either way. If you have them threaten to cut off your cock you'll talk... sorry that's a fact. Same with your eyes.

Torture has been performed since the beginnign to get info, it has to be done

topbuxbrad 11-07-2005 04:12 PM

Common!!! I mean, it's the "intelligence" community doing this right? No matter how you feel about torture, or whatever it is that's going on....wouldn't you think by now they'd be smart enough to stop taking pictures of it!?! The last thing that I would want if I'm beatin the hell out of someone is pictures to prove it, I mean I know they're not rocket scientists but common!!

Hey buddy,

We don't hate you... Just read the posts of the assholes above you... Those people epitomize what we hate.

And Unfortunately, George Bush does speak for the American people as whole.

My advice leave the United States to the ignorant. It's a sinking ship.
But then again, America is plunging the world into a violent dark age.
So perhaps there isn't a safe place left.

Webby 11-08-2005 02:18 AM

"We do not torture." DUH?? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

WTF is he talking about now?

Repeat after me "I am an alchoholic. I lie without thinking and refuse all responsibility. I am lucky to be President. It's the US that's unlucky and stupid for electing me - twice."

Somehow I don't think Bush has seen the beginning of torture yet - they are easy games to play.

Others can join in on the fun and make videos of "How To Torture Captured US Troops" - 1500 exciting, flesh-tearing, action-filled episodes downloadable direct from the net - FREE! Also available as a Collector Series Directors Cut version on CDROM - complete in an all natural torture-victim skin pouch.

If ever a retard Admin existed in any "civilized" western country - God blessed America with the current load of nasty shit.

Hey!! What the hell makes ya think "the World hates me"?? No way Acio!!

It more a despising of a very corrupt/warped Admin who seem to think they can place folks in the firing line for their fuckups. Some call it "electorate abuse".

Even these nasty "Muslims" don't hate ya - that's the other myth! :thumbsup

People need to get their head out of their asses .
1 : George Bush is an idiot
2nd : Iraq war was over oil ... so will be the next ones . That's it and that's all . End of story . Nobdoy gives a fuck about the democracy to the Iraqi people.
3rd : There will most definitly be torture for a while now ... it has became a witch hunt.

True... they just beat a few to death instead and tortured a few more to death.

Ever read any of the military surgeons death certificates during the Afghanistan "freedom" campaign? At least some of the military docs did not lie on the paperwork - credence to em for that.

The CIA shit is not new. There are records building up and statements over the last couple of years from "survivors" of "CIA prisons".

There is always good reason why the US Admin never liked the concept of the International Criminal Court. It sure as hell was not to "protect our soldiers on the battlefield". More like covering our sagging white asses :winkwink:

I'm sorry..... I don't agree with that came out of that scandal..... but all I see is a man standing on a box.

Don't even see any bruises.

is it just me? or is bush looking more and more distraught with every press conference.

he's two steps from losing it at the podium and flinging his dung at the reporters.

every post i see you make on this topic seems to be pro-war or pro-bush... always defending the shit that is clearly wrong...

most likely since you feel you need to defend the states in all matters since you served, and so did other members of your family :2 cents:

He thought he was going to be electricuted - a good torturer dosnt have to hurt anyone to be effective.

Still sucks though.

I like Americans and I like America - but there is one line that has been used in this thread and I have seen it again and again used by everyone from board whores to US polititions that pisses me off.

"They do it - so it is ok for us to do it"

I never did see what all the hubbub was about this.

Given the choice of standing on a box indoors or standing in battle and being shot at from random locations, I think this this dude's got the preferable situation.

Calling this torture is laughable and not worthy of debate IMO.
