Every trade is INFECTED
 

This last week almost ALL my trades have sent me bot traffic. I am talking about some of the BIGGEST and most RESPECTED sites on the web. They are getting it from their trades and it is being passed on to their trades. EVEN sites who don't even use trade script is being affected. I just verified with 3 of my trades by matching up ip numbers, that this BOT IS CAPABLE OF GOING UP TO 4 LEVEL deep thru trades. So tracking down the originating site is practically impossible. When you receive the bot traffic from a trade, that trades productivity increased greatly, so this bot is clicking all over your page. The only way to stop it is too look for unusually high productivity, more than 100 repetitive ips outgoing, and block the ip block with htaccess. If you trade at all and think this has not affected you, YOU ARE MISTAKEN.

I learned a couple things from it. I have someone else police my sites for me but I recognize a LOT of the domains you had listed as cheaters.

One question tho...
On the re-direct url you had pointed to your sponsor.... what was the [L] for at the end of it..??

The Truth: Honestly, I don't know what the [L] is for. I just know it works. I am with Datahosters who uses Plesk desk, so my htaccess is a little different. I don't even use

<Limit GET>

on my htaccess as the Plesk assumes these commands automatically.

The biggest problem with this bot is that most tgp's don't realize that they are getting and passing this bot traffic on to their trades. And many who do know choose to ignore it, thinking it will go away without any intervention on their part.

I sent that page to my host and my tech guy to make sure those ip's get added to our list.

I know for a fact I have a hitbot hitting my site twice a day running thru my links because I have hidden links that it hits right in a row on the same 2 hours everyday. It's fucked up tho cuz I know all of my large trades and it's none of them. I'm assuming it's someone I blacklisted and they never turned their bot off so to speak.

What script do you use to run your trades..?? and what sites ya run..?? Maybe we can work out a trade... I'm shutting down all my auto add pages cuz it's getting too hard to find real sites anymore.

Choker is a good guy. I started a trade with him recently, and his script kept shutting it down. My site was passing on this bullshit bot traffic over to him. Like you, Truth, I know almost every one of my trades, and I find it hard to beleive any of them are actually the source. On top of this, Choker saw similar stats coming from other established sites, run by well known and respected webmasters. So, thankfully, I didn't get blasted on a cheaters board. Instead, he helped me address this problem.

Choker says this bullshit traffic is possibly coming from as many as four trades away. He passed on the IP info to me, helped me get my htaccess set up, and our trade has been healthy ever since. And I have not noticed an inordinate drop in traffic, besides the usual weekend slowdown (my best days seem to be Mon-Wed).

This new bot is a motherfucker. It didn't click on my hidden links. I did not see any weird stats in my UCJ generated referrer reports. I do not know where it was comning from. And I'm sure my trades weren't aware they were sending this over to me, either.

Well since the traffic the cj scripts sends isnt real anyway, why don't you all just save all this wasted time messing with them and go back to REAL trading. Put a damm link up so a REAL surfer can click it and not just an electronically generated signal. Also it will virtually end the Hit Bot Saga.

Just my 2 cents.

This shit could fuck you just as hard if you run trades old school. Maybe harder, since it would be harder to catch. These new hitbots not only come to your page, they can actually follow thru on your outgoing links. Much like a search engine spider.

And guess what? They can fuck over a click thru sponsor, too. So I hope all you big boys have invested into outstanding proxy protection. Because it's bad enough they fuck over trades, I don't want these basterds to make money.

Best thing you can do is check the AWI cheaters board once/day.
And this shit might not be coming from your trade partner. It might be coming from a site that trades with a site that trades with a guy that trades with your trade partner.

I use CJ Ulta, and One day I asked why so much of my traffic was being sent to 69tennies since I do NOT trade with them on the cjultra.com <a href=http://www.cjultra.com/board/thread.php?id=937>here</a> which explains that in the cj code "&first=1" which sends the surfer to the gallery 100%, well I noticed one day, checking my links, the first link I clicked brought me to 69teenies, interested I did a couple days worth of clicking on my site, including and NOT limited to finding out on my trades page, some of *their* first clicks were being sent to 69tennies and waaaaay more traffic was going to 69tennies than MY fucking trade! Ok, first off - I will say I'm not a big fan of CJUltra..

Now that's out of the way, I'll say that Lane would have to be a complete and utter nut to do ANYTHING unscupulous like what you are describing. It took me all of 5 minutes to find where his script skimmed the traffic the last time I looked at it, and it was taking approximately 1.6% (ie, a certain second every minute had all of that seconds traffic redirected = 1.6%)

Anyone with source as open as Lane's (CJUltra is in PHP) would be asking to get their ass kicked if they tried something like that. I just don't believe it, most likely he shut the thread down because you were slagging him on his board.

However, I am quite willing to admit that I may be wrong here, and that Lane has changed his traffic skimming method.. In that case, he may very well be doing something unscupulous, who knows.

Hey man, thats why I posted links to the thread, I dont know anything about CJ Ultra, or Lane personally,... I was just asking a question, which my question is still posted on that thread, which says nothing "slagging him" , again the thread is still on his board...

I merely asked a question, and it was locked, fairly quickly too, which led me to speculate, so why would he lock the first post so suddenly?

I dont know anything about cracking php or anything like that, I simply installed it, added his code to about 200+ links and began checkin my links, I clicked every one of them, and out of them a shitload went to a site I was NOT trading with... its simple.

yep i own 69teenies... i am buying traffic from lane to feed the site while i screw around with designs and such to make it grow... whats wrong with that? why discuss "suspicions" with other webmasters without asking me? sometimes i think people on this board are looking for a reason to slander someone.

in exchange for getting a free script, lane takes a % of the traffic... this is a well known fact and is a good deal for both the webmaster & lane...

i buy some of that traffic... and i send it to 69teenies as feeder traffic to grow the site...

thats why u get the site, and i doubt u can stop it.

I think there are some people mistaken in this thread...

a: Not all proxies can be detected -- so a proxy detection script gives you a false sense of security.

b: Just because you can "detect" hitbot traffic from a site -- does not mean that this webmaster is using a bot.

You pay a price for buying traffic. Even if I were to buy traffic to feed a site, I'd send it to a mirror URL that pops up some kind of garbage sponsor (4free, dialer, eraser), in an attempt to immediatly recoup the price of the traffic purchase.

Lane gets a % of the traffic from all CJ Ultra users. All he will hold to is that he doesn't send it to a pure CJ hell.
