No. I come to this board to find useful information and to interact. I dont want it to go slower and look crappier just so people can have a pretty little picture next to their name. There is no use for one. It does not help anyone.

I love avatars. Or at least, I thought I did. I didn't realize how much I didn't miss them until it was brought up here. No. Please, no. No avatars. If we can set a precendent here, it will make things much nicer for me on my next board.

We just added avatars onto our board. We set a specific post limit so that not everyone could come along and put up avatars.

I don't have one tho. I don't really want one. Dunno why, but I don't have anything against them. Everyone who qualifies for one on our board has one!

So I would say "yeah sure whatever, Have them!"

The only good avatars would do is provide more design work for the next 2 weeks. Sigs work just as well. Avatars are a mess.

my point was that i view an avatar as a point of reference for that poster (an identifier), the sigs already do that for me. :winkwink:

Ah. I use my sig mostly as an ad, as you might see. But I'd like to make a nice animated face of myself as a signature. Now, I might have to do a combination of an ad and my face, and that's not very good. I might lose a LOT of potential customers. :)
