i havent worked in the US for some time, but i do remember that they had "medical bankrupcies" there... They have new backrupcy laws in effect now, so i dont know if that still applies...

a lot of americans dont have medical insurance or have inadequate insurance for major illnesses.

bankruptcy means you are unable to pay back your debts and you would be subject to having most of your assets seized and sold, plus you may have to pay a % of earnings to the bankruptcy court for dispersal...

Well, I usually just donate to causes IE Hurricane Katrina etc.,. As for how I decide to whom I will donate to, easy, depends on the circumstances involved, whether or not I know the person, personally or have built a business relationship with them online...I just won't give to anyones'/everyones cause, I would be a brokeass if I did. Sometimes I will give to strangers, but it really does depend on the circumstances regarding the how and why.

I was in the hospital after a serious accident a couple years ago, and in a wheelchair for a few months afterwards. I couldnt work because of it for a few months. I did have insurance but it was still another $70k out of my pocket. Came real close to losing my home and I did have to sell my new car that I had just bought a month earlier.

Nobody helped me out with a fucking penny, or even offered a loan. I used to be charitable before my accident, but now i've seen what happens when the shoe is on the other foot, so I dont give a fucking dime either.

I managed to bounce back without anyone's help, so I'm sure Nikki can do the same. It sure did change my attitude about "family" and "friends" though.

I've donated some bucks cause someone was having surgery or was seriously ill. I even donated some bucks cause someone here wanted a big screen tv. But it wont ever happen again, for anyone.

I might donate $20-$100 depending on what put you in the hospital and how serious your injuries were.

Lets see my processor stopped paying me for 3 months no money was coming zero, my wife was going to have surgery and I was buying my first house and moving my office. We had a what if fund so we made it, then were tight but we squeezed thru.

I remember your accident quite well. I don't remember you ever asking for money or help though. I also remember you posting pictures of your new vehicles, nice house, and how you have made over 6 figures every year since you have been in the business.

If I knew things were that rough, I would have pitched in some money no problem, I know how much of a pain in the ass being in a chair can be sometimes. But you shouldn't be so hellbent because people didn't come rushing to your aid, you have always made it quite clear that you do very well for yourself. You probably make 3-10x what a lot of people here do.

Anyway, yeh Franck, I would send you a couple bucks. You're a part of the community and you contribute to the community. I "know you" in a way. I really don't understand why people rush to a message board for help though, I would ask friends and family, privately and discretely.
