So much people without health insurance. What are the rates exactly?

Dirty F 11-05-2005 12:23 PM

I cant even imagine having no insurance.

Brujah 11-05-2005 12:23 PM

Yeah that would be in the range , if you get hospital only coverage with a 2000 dollar deduct you can probably get it even cheaper.

Also really depends on the person being insured. Trying to obtain insurance that also covers stuff that may originate from a prior medical condition can seriously increase the monthly premium and or make you nearly uninsurable.

adultchica 11-05-2005 12:30 PM

It's very expensive here in the US. When we DID have insurance it was like 700 per month but my husband's employer paid HALF the monthly payment as a benefit. Now he is unemployed and we have no insurance. It is way too expensive .

If any of us gets sick, we are royally screwed up the wazoo.

justsexxx 11-05-2005 12:31 PM

I understood around 250 USD per person

the american health care system is a greedy corporate animal. it could cost you a small fortune to get an insurance policy that would actually cover anything of substance that could happen to you. insurance companies do everything they can do to "not pay" when something goes wrong with you. it's disgusting. i fucking hate the health care system in this country. mine is 140 a month (full coverage), but i guarantee you if something catastrpohic would happen to me, i am sure there are clauses for them to fuck me over. insurance is a facade that makes you feel safe.

i know so many people that had so called "full coverage" health insurance, had horrible traumatic things happen and ended up paying thousands and thousands of dollars from their own pockets because of the way the "business" of health care runs. thats what it is, a business.

the reason its a shambles is that its attached to government and politics. one big disgusting bowl of shit soup.

favorite insurance company words "yeah, you know, we're real sorry about that, but that's not covered under your policy."

don't get me started on this one, i can rant all day. unfortunately, i have to get ready to go to a concert now. when i see you next i'll appall you with the details.

I so fucking agree... My dick gets pissed at me cause I fight not to go to the doctors because everytime I think something is covered..I get a fucking outrageous bill for stupid shit that is covered..like physicals and shots.

health care loves to overcharge just because you have insurance..it's a cesspool

BigCashCrew 11-05-2005 12:49 PM

it's expensive, but it's worth it. speaking of health care, i need to get it soon. lol it's too expensive w/o it. lol

Sosa 11-05-2005 12:58 PM

$80/month for a average plan for me with Blue Cross / Blue Shield

smack 11-05-2005 01:22 PM

just for myself i am paying $120 a month, and that does not include any vision coverage.

sextoyking 11-05-2005 01:25 PM

Kaiser HMO - Me and the mrs, 5 daughters - over 1200.00 per month

amalekite 11-05-2005 02:01 PM

IT just depends on how much of a deductible you have

My health and dental insurance runs about 120 dollars a month. The deductible 2000$.. so I keep several thousand dollars in the bank to cover deductible in case of emergency

There are many things that can be done to lower the cost of healthcare. US Premiums would drop by billions of dollars if all the illegal aliens from Mexico were deported

3rd world immigrant trash come to America and get FREE health care... While Americans pay high insurance rates

Also, Americans pay higher rates for drugs etc research and development costs. And then those drug companies export to foreign countries with price controls... So Americans end up paying for Canada's drugs etc

USA is getting fucked with no vaseline

mx8829 11-05-2005 02:03 PM

I pay $189/m at kaiser

Your stupid and don't even know what your talking about. Illegal aliens have nothing to do with why our system has 44 million american children without insurance.

It's all about big companies and what they can get away with, charging wise.

slapass 11-05-2005 02:06 PM

$100/month for me but I run a high deductible.

Tat2Jr 11-05-2005 02:11 PM

Mine is around $260 a month, and covers everything. Got $15 doctors visits. I have MS, and my medication runs about $2,000 each and every month, so thank god I have it!

benc 11-05-2005 02:12 PM

I have the blue cross essential plan that covers hospital, surgical, but not doctor visits or prescriptions. Its only $21 a month for me.

Sarah_Jayne 11-05-2005 02:26 PM

The cost of health care in the States is honestly one of the reasons I haven't seriously considered moving back.

colpanic 11-05-2005 02:31 PM

It really fucks the small biz owner/self employed the most.. If you work for any reasonably sized company they cover you. I've only worked at one company that didn't pay full coverage.

(but if you are self employed, yeah, it's a bitch)

spacedog 11-05-2005 02:33 PM

there is also an insurance called workers compensation & an employer is required by law to have this & is legally responsible for the medical bills of any employee injured during work..
