History Repeats Itself
I'm too lazy to verify all this, so I'll assume its mostly accurate.
--- Look what happens when a President gets elected in a year with a "0" at the end. Also notice it goes in increments of 20 years. 1840: William Henry Harrison (died in office) 1860: Abraham Lincoln (assassinated) 1880: James A. Garfield (assassinated) 1900: William McKinley (assassinated) 1920: Warren G. Harding (died in office) 1940: Franklin D. Roosevelt (dies in office) 1960: John F. Kennedy (assassinated) 1980: Ronald Reagan (survived assassination attempt) 2000: George W. Bush (????????????) And to think that we had two guys fighting it out in the courts to be the one elected in 2000. Have a history teacher explain this----- if they can. Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846. John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946. Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860. John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960. Both were particularly concerned with civil rights. Both wives lost their children while living in the White House. Both Presidents were shot on a Friday. Both Presidents were shot in the head. Now it gets really weird... Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy. Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln. Both were assassinated by Southerners. Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson. Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808. Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908. John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839. Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939. Both assassins were known by their three names. Both names are composed of fifteen letters. Now hang on to your seat... Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'. Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford'. Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials. And here's the kicker... A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe, Maryland A week before Kennedy was shot, he was in Marilyn Monroe. |
Spooky. I mean it. Really spooky.

where's my damn flapjacks?
|
Yeah, I had a history teacher tell me about that, pretty trippy if you ask me. I guess Bush better watch his ass so it doesn't happen to him too! :BangBang:
|
Blah.... Here is something even freakier!
I got two moles on my ass. One named Lincoln, the other I call Kennedy. I got an appointment with Dr. Oswald Johnson Booth at the Ford clinic Friday to have them removed. The receptionist, Mary Monroe, told me not to worry because the doctor will give me a shot before he removes the moles. |
I'd like to correct it a bit:
(2000) Clinton (Monica) |

well lets save this topic and if something truely happens to bush,, well then i'll believe that this is more than a coinincidense |

Looks like one of those mails i get daily from bored employees who put me on their freaking mailing lists. Whats next, Nostradamus? |

interesting numeroligy, but if bush dies in office it's prolly gonna be something more mundane like choking on a chicken wing. lol

These are the Presidents that died on office:
James A Garfield, Warren Harding, William Henry Harrison, John F Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, William McKinley,Franklin D Roosevelt, and Zachary Taylor There were assassination attempts on the following Presidents: Andrew Jackson, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, Franklin Roosevelt, Teddy Roosevelt, Harry Truman. All in all, 13 US presidents that either died in office or whom there were assassination attempts on. There have been 43 presidents. 30% made the lists above. A dangerous job. There were 53 4 year periods from 1st US election until last. There have been 213 years from 1789 until 2002. So all in all, there is about a 6% chance that in any given year a president will die in office or have an attempt on his life. Given this information, it is not surprising that such patterns would exist. Many of these presidents didn't die on the "0"year itself for example. So there was an entire 4 year period over which they could die or be assassinated in office. If it hadn't been "0" it would have been 2 or 4 or 6 or 8 and we would be talking about that. All elections take place in even years. |
Also McKinley wasn't elected in 1900. He was elected in 1896.
|
McKinley was also elected in 1900.
Here's some cool info. Robert Todd Lincoln, son of Abe Lincoln, was present at the assassinations of three Presidents: his father's, President Garfield's and President McKinley's. After the last shooting, he refused to attend any State affairs. He would not have been present at these events if it hadn't been for the brother of John Wilkes Booth, who saved his life years earlier. "McKinley was also elected in 1900."
Oh, I hate it when that happens. |
It's like the birthday's question.
How many people does it take before there is at least a 50% chance that two of them will have the same birthday? The answer is only 23. Coincidences are imminent. We just don't know what they will be. |
In 1914, the first year that the Federal Income tax was imposed, only one percent of the U.S. population was required to pay the new tax. Per capita, the average tax was .41 cents per person.
Woooo, lots happened since that day.. huh. :) |
bah you can make numbers say anything, Clinton was prez in 2000 and he lived.
|
1914 is also the first year that cocaine, opium, heroin, and I think marijuana were made illegal.
Coincidence? |
History may not repeat itself, but it does rhyme a lot.
