Strange idea for porn stars to do?
 

So check this out.. we might soon get an exclusive contract to represent 6 porn stars. Build the sites for them and maintain them. I don't know who the girls are yet. Their lawyer wouldn't tell us until the deal is done.
But it's all supposed to be done before AVN because all the girls are going there.
anyway , the strange thing is he doesn't want any kind of webmaster/affiliate/rev share program associated with the sites and their not typical pay sites. They're fan sites but with some type of pay area I guess.
Why would anyone NOT want webmasters promoting? They're just cheating themselves out of more $. Specially if some of the girls are bigger names. Or would bigger names not need any kind of webmaster promotion???? :question

Wouldn't you want to see these porn stars first? Maybe it's just me but what if they a dirty manly bitches? I guess there is a niche/market for everything these days.

some stars/models don't need affiliates. end of story. don't lose a contract by trying to convince them they need affiliates. after the site's done, if they crave more traffic (and they will), pitch the idea to them again. we run into roadblocks like this both in mainstream & adult for one of our projects. some of them care less about the extra revenue and fear or don't want the management nightmare.

in fact some of them do not even want a "pay site", they just want to offer an annual "fan club" type thing for $15-$50 bucks a year (includes signed 8x10, personal note, etc).

What i have found is that people from that side of the industry sometimes they really don't have a clue about the internet and don't understand what a webmaster program is or anything.

What a waste of money :(

As for fan forums, there will be much more fan interaction that just a forum, but
that is one of the ideas. This isnt going to be a typical run of the mill come look
at my pics and send me an email site. These sites are going to be an integral aspect
of these girls careers. For example, why have a girl do anal in a movie. Save the
anal for her website so that if some fan really wants to see her doing that, she's
going to get paid $19.99 per person instead of $1200 for 1 scene.

I want the girls film work to drive traffic and fans to her website so that
eventually, she can trim down on the films as she develops her own content and
becomes her own production company even possibly producing her own DVDs for release."

Umm, we have several deals like that with Jenna J, Tera P, etc, and your deal sounds fishy, I'd seriously look into what they are asking of you, and find out who they are lol!
