He's an idiot.

It seems to me like the fire is actually on his right side, which is behind him for us, and thus not on him - quickly dragging the molotov cocktail through the air causes it to burn harder, and the position makes it seems like it's the guy that's on fire.

Of course, I could be entirely wrong on this one, but that's what it looks like to me.

just saw that on cnn, too funny.

Look at the glow on the ground, it sorta gives a clue as to where the flame is, and in my opinion, its just behind his right shoulder.
