I've noticed lots of people on GFY have gotten tattoo's lately... Now what type of tat's do you think people will regret having in 10 years time...

Ofcourse they will. Everyone with a tattoo regret them at some point.

I don't think that's true ... I have many and I've only regretted the ones i got when i was young and broke ... since I've covered them and the new ones i don't see myself regretting .... they are a part of me and there on me to remind me of a time in my life or a person that is important ... neither of those things will change so why regret ... anyone that doesn't have one should have nothing to say in this thread because they don't know ... it's like when someone with no kids gives advice on how to raise one because they have a dog and feel it's the same ... :2 cents:

PS. I have a few that some might consider silly as well. But as Mike mentioned, they have their own special meanings.

as long as you get tatted with something that has meaning to you, you wont regret it.

I have several tats and they all have special meaning. I think as long as you really research your ink and think about how its going to look in 50 yrs you won't have any regrets!

yeah i understand what you're all saying... but what do you think are some tats in 10 years time will look embarassing... for example girls with those tat's on their lower back or guys with some chinese/japanese writing they have no clue what is says...

I've got one from when I was 19 thats about due for a coverup. Thankfully I still like the big ones I have.

If they regret the ones that they have, they can always have them covered with something else. I don't think I will feel out of place, I will be hanging out with the same people I do now that have more tat's than I'll ever have....so compared to me, they will always be the freaks LOLOL ;))) j/k.

Tattoos are meant for the person sporting them, who gives a fuck what anyone else thinks, or assumes.

errr because lots of people do it for fashionable/trend reasons... so in 10 years when something reaches it' fad expiry date it can be god awful...

not every owner of a tattoo in this world has done one for a meaning or purpose... hence FAUX PAS...
