A very sad day for me...

today I brought my cat to the vet cause he was having a hard time peeing, he has stones and we had to put him down. never did i think i could be so attached to an animal. trying not to cry is hard.

pawsregd 11-03-2005 07:00 PM

Sorry to hear that

Spunky 11-03-2005 07:00 PM

RIP kitty :( I know how attached I am to my pets

Fucksakes 11-03-2005 07:02 PM

I bought him as a gift when me and my gf first got together.

doctor said 1400 to fix him and a 50% chance of living, and than gives us the choice to put him down, i felt cheap and cruel, definatly a hard thing to do.

amandaspost 11-03-2005 07:13 PM

Im sorry to hear, I know how hard it can be :(

Webchick 11-03-2005 07:17 PM

Tyson was the best cat in the world, he meant the world to me.. ill miss him too babe, but at least hes not suffering anymore..

fuzzylogic 11-03-2005 08:31 PM

i lost a cat in may for the same reason. i paid a lot of money for him. he was born on the same day as me. the cat was so awesome.
he had a defect which caused stones to form. he died while being operated on. he was just over a year old.
it sucked so bad.

DateDoc 11-03-2005 08:33 PM

So sad. Sorry to hear about your poor kitty cat. :(

foulfowl 11-03-2005 08:35 PM

Sorry for your loss. Don't feel cheap or cruel with those odds, I am scared to bring my kitty (14 years old) to the vet because a mole is growing. I know my vet will say it is a 50/50 chance to save him for a couple of years.

I think you did the right thing :)

Matt Collins 11-03-2005 09:07 PM

Definitely a hard decision to make...

Matt

personally I think it's ok to cry if you loose someone close to you even if it's an animal. Most times animals can be someone's best friend. I had a solid black cat once when I was growing up that had to be put under because the landlord stomped his face in with his foot. I cried for days.. and if something happened to my sneaker (cat) or prince drake (dog) that I have today I would still cry.

I'm sorry about your loss babe.

We had to have one put down last April due to kidney and liver failure, literally happened overnight. One mornin' we woke up and she was jaundiced. She was only 7 yrs. old.

Sympathies for your loss. I know how it is. Won't seem like it, but time will heal.
