Paysite Owners - Give Me A Heads Up
 

I am designing something new and exciting for the industry again and yes, you can relax because it's nothing like spyware this time.

Numbers don't lie and I don't do anything without looking at the numbers so I need to fill in some gaps of information that I need.

I'm trying to gather some information but I'm not asking for your program's specific information - more of what you feel is "industry averages" are based upon what you know about similar programs such as yours.


In other words, what do you think the guy next to you is doing - without telling me who that guy is!


What % of trials convert to full paying memberships?

What % of full paying memberships became full paying memberships only because the customer forgot to cancel on time?

What % of full paying memberships who forgot to cancel last more than 2 months?

What % of full paying memberships who forgot to cancel - charge back?

What is the average cost to a paysite per chargeback?

Those questions cant be answered. All depends on how your memberarea is designed, content, plugins, updates, what your trial price is, rebill price ect ect ect.

Exact numbers I'd agree, unless your crystal ball and Ouija board come equipped with some extra powers in em' - but I'm venturing a guess that every single paysite owner has a pretty good idea of an answer to every question on that list.

I give it a go for you mate ......

Poor program - less than 30%

Average program - 35-40%

Excellent program - more than 45%

In 1997 - 70 to 80%

In 2002 - 50 to 65%

In 2005 - 25 to 40%

In 1997 - 60 to 80%

In 2002 - 40 to 60%

In 2005 - 20 to 40%

20 to 60 % (mainly dependent on refund policies etc)

If overall CB% less than 1% $25-35

If overall CB% more than 1% $50-$150

Now I won't live and die by these "guesstimates" - there are FAR to many variables involved, and I can only base things on personal experience on our own stuff and traffic we have sent over the years.
