Tutorial sites are alright, but your best bet when first learning is go buy an actual book.

I haven't done any PHP since I saw the Cold Crush Brothers back in 80. Stay away from the stuff.

I can highly recommend the book "php & mysql for dummies" or you can learn using tutorial sites
