I have a flat in Moscow and spend quite a bit of time there including some business andi cant say that the desire amongst politicians and many people is not there to join the Eu. There is a bit iof a wave of nationalism sweeping Ru now and idont think its pro euro.

There is a small bit of land between Lithuania and POland which is "inside" europe but also Part of the Russian Federation.

Physically all of the Russian Federation to the wst of teh Urals is part of continental europe. Politically non of it is including St Pete's

Fo Russia, a big market place for domestic products hecne why some business people in Ru are pro-eu. They get their wrists slapped though for that ;)
