Firefox support is coming soon. Please be patient :-)

Still in beta..

ElvisManson 11-02-2005 02:15 PM

works fine in FF for me.

Looks like they just used the old cached links from the MSN search engine...for the sponsored adult listings anyway.

There is a sponsored listing at the top and bottom of the page when you search for porn that has night surf on it.

I remember back in the day when Night Surf provided all of the adult SE listings for MSN.

Serge Litehead 11-02-2005 02:17 PM

fast indeed and nice domain
not sure bout design just yet
i like "web/news/rss" switch though

Machete_ 11-02-2005 02:26 PM

Unfortunately most surfers remember Night Surf too, the ammount of traffic on an adult term on msn is peanuts compaired to the same on google or even yahoo (allthough it does convert well).

I cant wait for that to change.

pornpf69 11-02-2005 02:28 PM

faster than google?

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-02-2005 02:31 PM

I thought of this concept 3 years ago.

Who says a search engine should dictate what a surfer is looking for when it is the surfer that knows what he is looking for and just needs a catalog of likeness based on things the surfer may already know.

Surfers just need a method to selectively choose and store content they wish to see and as a result the info stored peruses the net for the surfers interests based on his or her individual profile.

Right now search engines operate quite the opposite way.

I thought it was a brilliant concept.

We used to get a ton of sign ups from Night surf.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-02-2005 02:36 PM

Rui 11-02-2005 02:39 PM

They are using Ajax.

And their site sucks with Firefox:

"Firefox Users
Firefox support is coming soon. Please be patient :-)"

Halcyon 11-02-2005 02:46 PM

Looks pretty slick to me. Easy to add rss feeds, for sure.

blazi 11-02-2005 02:49 PM

Brad Mitchell 11-02-2005 03:06 PM

Looks interesting but the search results were garbage.

NickJ 11-03-2005 06:41 AM

Tat2Jr 11-03-2005 06:42 AM

I've been getting some very nice hits for MSN lately. I hope this gets huge!

sumphatpimp 11-03-2005 06:47 AM

and what the hell was their point?
we have enough search engines already.
thats like we need another tgp!
they will get some traffic, but they will not take down google.

Gasper 11-03-2005 06:50 AM

looks nice .. i'll stay with google though .. for now :)

reed_4 11-03-2005 07:20 AM

I would stay with google too, thanks anyway.

RawAlex 11-03-2005 08:03 AM

I made a few tests on results... and the best ranking sites in many cases are those SE RSS / Googleads pages. Poor SERPs will doom any search site. If the people find nothing but shit, they will move on.

Google takes that risk now, with their "we won't remove anything, we will teach our systems to get rid of spam" approach that has many result pages polluted with spam, redirects, and toolbar installers.

If this is everything microsoft has been working on, well, this is going to be a windows 3.1 type deal.

Alex

CherryLipsRosa 11-03-2005 10:57 AM

Google is well exposed, i think they will need much more to come close!

elitetec 11-03-2005 03:18 PM

if it sucks or doesnt Live.com domain name rox

elitetec 11-04-2005 10:44 PM

damn their stats on alexa went up 26,000%

Doctor Dre 11-04-2005 10:48 PM

I doubt that'll be any competition to google

MrChips 12-17-2005 09:47 PM

"they will get some traffic, but they will not take down google."

Dont make me laugh - Microsoft can and WILL SHIT ON GOOGLE.

You clearly have no real idea of the sheer size of Microsoft do you - poor boy.

X37375787 12-17-2005 09:49 PM

Ajax at its finest. Google will turn to Ajax soon, too. Mark my words.

Chris 12-17-2005 09:58 PM

extremly interesting results

for all terms regarding our program andemployee's we are ranked #1 but if you search for say vimax ... you get all affilate sites

but if you use google ....we are number 1 ?
