Guba to convert vids for iPod Video
 

LONDON - It may not be quite what Steve Jobs had in mind, but an online search engine called Guba is set to offer vast amounts of pornography and other video files, specifically tailored for Apple's new iPods.

Guba is a subscription-only search engine that culls video files from the Usenet newsgroups, a huge repository of online content ? much of it adult, pirated, or both.

Beginning this month, Guba will convert video files from Usenet into the format used by the iPod, known as H.264. Apple CEO Steve Jobs launched the video-enabled iPod last month along with deals to sell downloadable music videos and TV shows.

This is huge news. That is going to have enormous implications for the entire industry. Did you now that the 11th most searched term on ITunes is open source sex? This will be the next frontier for adult webmaster and presents huge opportunities to earn $$! Want an example of how big it is? not to burst any bubble, but... what stops me from offering LEGAL content? (as in oposition to STOLEN content) Furthermore, I understand how does GUBA evades the "stolen content" felony, but once they EDIT stolen content for profit... well, then your cover is blown, don't you think? Maybe I'm wrong here, but in the end, I never did, I don't and I won't ever support a thief, no matter how smart the thief is. FWIW, just my :2 cents:
