I waited to long to book my vegas trip grr. Anyways, im looking at a bunch of sites and keep seeing

Why the fuck not? Are they going to know? What would happen if they found out i was there for a convention, kick me out?

Just tell them you are on vacation

Well thats the plan. Just kind of wondering why they would do that. Isn't convention business one of their largest sources of revenue?

Or do they assume you wont ever be at their hotel spending money, and off somewhere else instead?

Actually the reason is that conventions are taking over hotel room vacancies in Vegas and the hotels are losing their vacationers business. They are trying to control it, since people on vacation tend to spend more money and gamble more than people that are in Vegas for business.
