Burial or Cremation?

A toasty exit or a long time rotting? How would you prefer to go? Not that you'll know much about it.

If I was really an asshole, I'd insert some Hitler jokes here.

Kassidy 11-03-2005 01:25 AM

Burial for sure! I don't want to be burnt.

Linguist 11-03-2005 01:26 AM

Burial for me. Let the worms feast on my flesh

Sarah_Jayne 11-03-2005 01:51 AM

I hate even thinking about it because even though I know I won't care at the time I don't like thinking about either. My husband very clearly wanted to be cremated and I did what he wanted to be done but I wouldn't let them burn him until I was away from the church.

Same here.

One long term prob with burial is the amount of space it takes up.. i know in japan and some other places they have started with vertical burial..

On another track.. until recently (having attended the australasian cemeteries & crematoria conference) i never realised how much money was in the death industry and how many businesses you would not usually associate with such an industry profit from it. Well, why not.. it's an industry with an every growing market base and if it ever dries up you have other things to worry about..

dylan4U 11-04-2005 07:14 AM

That is really funny POLL. I do not care. I will not be my problem

Spunky 11-04-2005 07:16 AM

I am leaning towards cramation for sure. why take up some space to lay there for ever? Once your immediate family passes too nobody is going to the grave anyway.

Now if a child died I don't know how I would feel about cremation? Don't know why it's different? what's your take on that?

Screaming 11-04-2005 08:06 AM

Cremation, 100%

Who wants to be worm food?

PSGuru 11-04-2005 08:16 AM

Cremation for sure... after the pull out all my organs for scientific study.
