Bar owner gets prison time for strong drink (anyone have one of these?)
HUTCHINSON, Kan. -- The former owner of a bar in Kansas has been sentenced to nearly four years in prison, for the death of a woman who died of alcohol poisoning.
Prosecutors said Juanita Goodpasture, 31, died after she was served a red, yellow and green concoction called the "Stoplight Challenge." The $15 drink was so potent that prosecutors said people who bought it were given their money back and a T-shirt if they could remain coherent 30 minutes after consuming it. Billy Scott, 34, apologized to Goodpasture's family at his sentencing Thursday. He was convicted of involuntary manslaughter last month. Goodpasture had a blood alcohol content of 0.43 when she was found dead at her home in July of last year. http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/5200079/detail.html |

must be made with grain alcohol or something ... and a very tall glass .. |
Just 6-ounces of liquor, and half of that is liquers (under 50-proof).
http://www.courttv.com/trials/taped/...ckground2.html And it says that the woman involved was 5'7" and 273 pounds http://www.courttv.com/trials/taped/...round_ctv.html I don't see how that is possible to even catch a buzz considering. :helpme |
I'm thinking that she was drinking a lot before that ... i didn't read the link but I can't see anyone dropping dead from that ...

I wish the bars around here would let you drink for free and give you free clothes just for sucking back six shots in one glass. |
Jebus, I should have been dead about 30034609500 times by now.

"Stoplight Challenge" sounds really dangerous to health.
|
Thank you lawyers for again twisting justice up like licorice.
|
He got convicted for running a drinking game. Not for killing her with the drink.
Still stupid, though. :disgust |
Are those people selling 10 lb hamburgers going to be charged for manslaughter for the fatasses who consume them when they have a heart attack?

i also use that example to debate whether or not it should be allowed to sell drugs. McDonald's is way deadlier than most of the drugs i know |
