Some of you kids would have shit yourself if your were around during the height of the arms race.
All the options have always been on the table. You're fooling yourself is you believe otherwise. I wasn't around during the Bay of Pigs but I know some GFYers were and I don't here a lot of doomsaying from them. |
For some reason a thread named 'Nukes' by a guy named Nazgul sends a shiver up my spine...

Hey I am a pretty harmless guy... i just saw it on the tv and it scared me a bit. As for the NAzgul thing... theya re just characters from lord of the rings |
Of course every country in the world with nuclear weapons has them ready to launch.
The difference is, they are not mentioning it all the time. When is the last time you heard another country threaten to nuke someone else? Bush is just trying to threaten people with using Nuclear Bombs and the only country Bush mentioned that even had nuclear bombs was China, and they were later removed from the list. It just goes to show you America would consider using a nuke, as long as the country does not have the means to send one back to America. Bush is such a pussy!!! BTW England had terrible problems with terrorism in the past. Every couple weeks someone in the IRA would bomb this or that. England never threated to Nuke anyone. I can't think of any country which would consider using nuclear bombs because some terrorists. :2 cents: |
All options is nothing new.. Been on the table from the 19950's...
Shit we came really close to nuking the North Korean's in the 1950's... You don't know how close...The dam Plane's were almost in the air.. The General's wanted to and if am not mistaken IKE did also...Some prick talked them out of it... Just think, we wouldn't be having problem's with with them now and wouldn't have 35,000 troops over there....Should have nuked them...2 cents: If the ass hole's are worried GOOD... GW Bush just might nuke'm.... Fuck'm... If I were running 1 of these rouge country's I'd be worried...very worried...: |
I posted this in other threads about nukes:
These current media reports represent absoultely nothing new. We have had contingency plans to use nukes against various countries since 1945. All that is taking place is a review of those plans, as is done and has been done since 1945. I can assure you that there are many more countries on the list at any given point in time (including current allies). Our plans are not static and do come under review, periodically. Nations are added from time to time, but any country that could ever pose a serious threat (including current allies), are never removed from the plans. What the media reports is sometimes not even true, for various reasons, including the fact that some government source has intentionally leaked misinformation. As for us using nukes, we would positively use nukes, given the right cirumstances. Nukes were considered in the Korean conflict, as well as the Vietnam conflict, and as well as prior to actually beginning operation Desert Storm, and were probably considered prior to the current engagement in Afghanistan. And This: I did not make the statement to make anyone feel better. I don't know how old some of you are or what kind of bubble you live in but this is a real world, with real problems, and today's allies, could be tomorrows enemy and not to have contingency plans for anyone (current allies included) that could seriously damgage us now or in the future is simply foolish. To repeat we have had contingency plans since 1945 and those plans are periodically reviewed. So there is nothing new here other than the media making a big deal of it. Maybe some of you are young enough to have never heard about such plans, or had never given it any thought, but contingency plans are just that. Plans do not make for immediate implementation. JimmyF: AIRBORNE!! LoveAsianChicks: China is defininitely not off of the list. |
