Libertine 11-01-2005 12:36 PM

Three fiddy. If my bank account was frozen, I could just borrow from my mother. I see no reason why I would ever have to leave the country immediately not involving me being in possession of several briefcases of money - preferably bills.

69pornlinks 11-01-2005 12:37 PM

what business are YOU in???? hahah

pornpf69 11-01-2005 12:38 PM

I'm kind of the same way. I used to keep about a grand, which by the way really wouldn't get me too far, but I don't really see the need anymore. And I really don't see any reason why 2 of my accounts would be frozen unless the IRS really got a hair up their ass, which I give them no reason to.

Roald 11-01-2005 12:40 PM

4 euros for cigarettes.

SmokeyTheBear 11-01-2005 12:41 PM

Cocaine , weed, insulin, etc . those things will always be worth something

None really.
If my bank account was frozen, the government would be forced to pay me for enough for a basic living untill they decide to release them again.
And then I would have epassporte etc to make it a nice living.

Rui 11-01-2005 12:52 PM

Not enough but don't think I will ever need to leave the country in hurry,etc.. ;)

mrthumbs 11-01-2005 12:52 PM

25k casino money i won a few years back is waiting with my passport just in case.
Cant think of any reason why i would have to use it and 25k wont get you far in case of war or whatever so i might as well bring it to the bank one of these days.

Its not a bad idea to have 2-3 months worth of living expenses laying around just in case. (what if some big company thinks you owe them moeny and your bank accounts are frozen?Waht if that happens by mistake and takes a while to clear it up?).

Peaches 11-01-2005 12:55 PM

I keep between $4-5K in cash in the house. I'd be screwed if I had to leave the country and my credit cards and bank accounts were frozen :(

Sly 11-01-2005 12:59 PM

Whatever is lying around in change or small bills in the house.... I dont like to have too much cash $100 plus in the house in case anything did happen.

We keep our loot in 4 different banks in case anything major happened we'd have better access at getting to our money... Only happened 1 time in the last 7 years we had an issue with accessing an account and it was when we got married the day before and the asshole teller wanted my wife's "new" ID when we were out of state at a branch getting cash....

My Grandfather kept 250k in cash in his house at all times once he turned 85 in case he needed insto cash. Going thru his statements after his passing has shown that he was worth about 8 million liquid + 1m in property + 1 buick park avenue....

We figured 1m... never 8m's.........

donnie 11-01-2005 01:25 PM

Now when I think about it, if anybody would go trough my safe they would probably think I am in a drug business :)

I keep about 40k in my safe togehter with my 2 passports (I have dual citizenship)
