PC Problem: Mouse locked up and dissapeared. Any techs out there?
This is on my main pc. Windows 2k Pro.
Ok, I am just surfing this forum and a few news sites as I do every morning when my mouse arrow locks up. I think, "ok, ill just reboot." Well, I did that and when windows came back up I had no mouse arrow. So, I turn my PC off and take my mouse out (Logitech Optical) and replace it with another one of its bretheren, then reboot. Still nothing. What the hell is this? Anyone have any idea? Spyware, virus, software glitch? Any help is greatly appreciated, seeing as how it is my main work PC and I cant get any work done. |
uninstall the driver for the mouse and reinstall it.

Go into device manager and check the driver

USB driver fucked up I guess. Did you check if the drivers hasnt got a (!) in front of it, trying to install the mouse twice or so?

I Still haven't gotten this fixed yet. I've tried just about anything I can with the limited capabilities I possess on it without having a mouse. Anyone have any idea what it might be?
