Ogrish on CNN
 

CNN just showed a video clip of a suicide bomber. The video had "OGRISH.COM" plastered right through the middle of it.

I thought they would be a little leery of spreading such a controversial site around?

Well, we know who's gonna be getting a visit from their local police just like the owner of NowThatsFuckedUp.com

I noticed a while back that ogrish started posting news stories or PSAs with each photo or video to make the site more of a learning experience rather than just morbid.

If some kid hung himself, they'd also run a story against suicide.

Would that sway a jury?

I highly doubt it at this point since Orgish has been around for soo long.

The difference between ogrish and NowThatsFuckedUp.com is that ogrish isn't accepting death photos from soldiers in Iraq and handing out free memberships for them.

Also isn't the OWNER Dutch as well? While that other site was just hosted here...

possibly if they had a good lawyer...

According to CA vs. Miller it indeed would if obscenity was the issue.

No it wont sway a jury, and if they are doing it the right way, they wont have to. It becomes an unedited news source. Protected to the end of the earth right now.

exactly, I got flamed in another thread for saying the same thing. I am glad I am not alone.

I bet they did that on purpose as a way to distance themselves from showing the video..

Like were they presenting it as part of another topic or were they describing "internet videos"

They said something to the effect of, "As you can see in this video, it's impossible to stop a determined suicide bomber from killing US troops"

Maybe they are permitted to show what the source of the video was for some reason. It does seem strange though.

Out of curiousity are there any medical doctors on GFY?

As part of medical school in North America do you also work on dead people for your training?
