HELP! I am building a new computer, what monitor do you recommend?

17 or 19inch. Which is the best?

Also where's the best and most reliable company to buy parts from? Newegg.com?

I like outpost.com or visit your local Frys

frys is great. I like their selection. I used to shop there all the time when I lived in the US. We could use a Frys here in the Philippines.

I'd go for a pair of 17's over a single 19. I tend to like the Samsung LCDs over any other brand, good brightness and color quality. Check out Tiger Direct, just got a new system in from them and the prices are pretty good.

:thumbsup

Both companies seem to be good, so being a cheap bastard I'd go with the lowest final price (include the shipping costs too!). :winkwink:

Best thing to do is head to the nearest BestBuy, CompUSA, CircuitCity to SEE the monitor in real life, then order it online. :thumbsup

For me the NEC and ViewSonic LCD's seemed a bit muddy in "live" color.

Find out what the return policy is if you get a monitor with dead pixels.
