Well I guess its because a woman is born with all the eggs she will ever have in her ovaries and never creates new ones during her life... whereas men constantly produce new sperm. And of course the procedure for extracting the eggs is far more complex and intrusive for a woman.

Hrmph... supply. Hrmph... demand.

So complex that it took all of 4 minutes last Wed. to remove 14 eggs from my wife -- I'll give you mildly intrusive.

Sorry. I don't know how the actual procedure works as I've never been interested in having any of my eggs removed. I just assumed it was more intrusive because they have to go inside.

1) Some skill involved in extraction. - Men just jerk off!
2) Some skill in fertilizing eggs - Wrong move and it's broken yolk
3) Millions of sperm per squirt - 14 eggs in an extraction.
4) Eggs can only come from women under 35
5) Preferred female doners normally mothers. - Make certain there is no latent birth defect problems.

These are some of the things I was told when I looked into it. Various states/provinces and clinics may differ.

And there's also a lot more men willing to have possible children running around in the world that they will never see. Women and their natural instincts.

I suggest we employ outsourced females to extract their eggs and FedEx 'em to us frozen in ziploc bags, and we sell em off for profit. That'll teach em!

You must be talking about ICSI. Not everyone needs ICSI...

It's a shame that my boys only got to 9 out of 14 in the dish, but that's ok. Rates of birth defects are higher for ICSI patents.
