I probably should have taken more, but bigger things were at hand.

You'll see some from the day after, some from a couple nights ago when I cooked for a bunch of people on my street and some from today.

1000's of trees and power poles are snapped, tens of thousands of trees are in the road, and people are coming together around our area, to cook, share generator power, get gas in teams, it's pretty cool.

Just a quick update about
Hurricane Wilma and Mayors Money.

As many of you know we are operating out of Fort Lauderdale and recently were hit with a major hurricane. 1000?s of trees and power poles are snapped and most of the city has no power, gasoline or clean running water. In fact, we only got water pressure back a day ago.

Payments are all being processed Monday instead of Friday due to the storm related issues. Other than that everything is running smoothly!

Our sites and servers were safe and sound with Jim over at Techie Media as well as several other facilities around the world and never went down! Our office and homes on the other hand were not so lucky. While our office sustained very little damage, most of our staff myself included were not so lucky. Most of our staff has no power and will not have power for up to a month. Our office, however, has AC, power and hot water showers. (we're just not supposed to let the water in our eyes or mouths)

Fortunately, we were able to get a hold of a Verizon wireless card that we can all connect through so we'll be online from now on!!! It's a little slow but our Minneapolis office will be doing the heavy site updates in the coming days.

Now for the news you REALLY care about. Brooke is SAFE! She stayed with me and my wife during and after the storm and she wanted me to say hello to you all!

If you're in the hurricane affected area and need anything or you would like someone to check on friends or family that may be affected here, please don't hesitate to contact me. Cell phones are working pretty well now so feel free to call if you need something.

We're planning a huge promotion Monday so check the boards and read your emails! It's our way of saying "FUCK YOU" to Hurricane Wilma :)
