WHITE CITY, Ore. -- Despite buying a winning $1 million lottery ticket, a Southern Oregon woman might not be allowed to collect the rest of her prize.
Police say Christina Goodenow used a stolen credit card earlier this month to buy the scratch-it ticket.
On Oct. 12, she allegedly altered her appearance and claimed her prize at lottery headquarters and was awarded a check for $33,500 -- $50,000 a year for 20 years, minus taxes.
The 38-year-old is accused of using a credit card that belonged to her mother-in-law, who died more than a year ago.
Goodenow faces charges of forgery, identity theft, credit card fraud, theft, computer crime, cheating, fraudulent use of a credit card and possession of methamphetamine.
Goodenow is held without bail in the Jackson County Jail. If convicted, her prize payments will stop.
