Medford, OR (AHN) - Police say Christina Goodenow, 38, of White City in southern Oregon bought a lottery ticket worth $1-million with a stolen credit card. If convicted, Goodenow could end up with nothing.

Authorities say she faces numerous theft-related charges, forgery, and possession of methamphetamine. Officials say the card belonged to her mother-in-law, who died more than a year ago.

Oregon Lottery officials are not discussing specifics of the case because an investigation is still underway.

The $1-million grand prize is paid out over 20-years. Goodenow arrived at the Oregon Lottery headquarters in Salem to accept an installment payment of $33,500.

Detectives tracked Goodenow to her home on Wednesday after learning that she had used the credit card to purchase a number of items, including the ticket.

Yes but does she get to keep the loot? Is there an actual law that states if you buy a ticket with stolen money, card, whatever you forfiet the money?

According to what statute or law. Just being curious and all.

Lets say I used a stolen card and bought a tv and got caught. The tv's cost on the card was 1000.00. Now the judge orders me to pay back the 1000.00 plus any interest and gives me probation or whatever. Would the judge also make me give back the TV?

I'd say the actual owner of the credit card paid for the ticket...he should get the money. :) And I've never heard of using a credit card for the lottery...
