This thread is to make all affiliates of ArikaAmes.com aware of the situation that is going on with the site and the affiliate program. My personal matters will not be addressed in this thread and I will not answer any posts about my personal life in this thread as it should have never come to the board in the first place.

ArikaAmes.com and it's Affiliate Site are up and functioning. As most know the sites took a hit when the hard drive failed, but they were able to get all of the information and data recovered which is great news.

As far as payouts go. Here was my issue with it and here is what is going on at the moment. My issue with it was, after NATs went down and all the data was temporarily lost, I was unable to see payouts for the period of 09/16/2005 - 09/30/2005 (The hard drive failed on or around the 27th of September). My nats data was restored around the 17th of October, however it kept throwing me errors when I would try to check affiliates stats. When I started going back previous pay periods to figure out what I owed out to affiliates as compensation for when the site was down was when I saw that I could get stats up to the 27th of September.

So what is going on at the moment...
All payouts will be made from 09/26/2005 - 09/27/2005. Along with that, I will go back up to three pay periods per affiliate and take the average and then add that to their account. I say up to three pay periods because if an affiliate was only with me for one of those pay periods it would not be fair. So that is what the deal is now with everything. All affiliates are getting paid, no one was ever not going to be.

Anyone that had any issues with payouts that hit me up were taken care of.

This is correct, the folks at NATS went out there way the day of the crash to get the program installed again and then handled the DB recovery as soon as we got the data back. Thanks again John and the crew.

arika's fans online will continue to buy memberships and be fans and this could be just a hiccup really. also, a solo model being single is not going to hurt the model's perception by the paying audience imho

No but without traffic the site will not prosper. It appears that the entire situation has pissed off many webmasters who supply her with traffic.. I for one would not promote her just for the moral reasons of what happened. Regardless of what people say about her personal life (which is true is not our business), but it does reflect on how she might handle business associates.

I hope both parties can work through their issues, she definitely has the looks to succeed, I just think (as I have said) the damage has been done.

That's right, lets face it this "personal" issue has cost many a webmaster some $$$. From time putting up/pulling links, bandwidth, time etc. There is so much more to the equation than "Oops a hard drive failed". Personal issues with these types of sites can definitely cause bad business decisions. Webmasters need to think about this with single girl sites. We have seen two of them have problems this week already.

it's your traffic and it is understandable. i take a less emotional approach though to business. also, i think highly of newbreed and arika as individuals. i see arika as a young upstart and newbreed as a savvy businessman who will move on to new ventures. it is a learning process for both imho and the personal stuff should not sway the business stuff. give a young woman a break - forgive but don't forget etc... anyway, a lot of top owners of affiliate programs are divorced but you don't stop sending them traffic
