[DESIGNERS] How much is enough for a banner contest?

Last time I did a banner contest I offered $50 for the winner, and $10 for every banner that didn't win but I decided to use...

Is that ok now? Would there be enough entries?

Hmmm... depends on the banner type I suppose... 50$ is a nice price for a good flash one I think :thumbsup

So reasonable I suppose for the winner. Others will take the risk I think :winkwink:

I'm not talking about flash. I want a simple gif animated or even static jpg as long as it is hot!

For a contest? Say $200-300 should get you started.

Try $100 :thumbsup

100 is fine

For a banner or anything. The price is everything when u have a contest and I think thhe guys that pays, for example, 500 bucks for a logo, are the smartest. They got the real good designers in, all in a competition, and that process make the results richier.
For a banner, with 100 I think you will more results I think ;)

:thumbsup

I think that's a fair price. The most important thing is delivery of the price when the winner is chosen (not you specifically, but have just seen contests before where someone has a contest and doesn't follow through with paying the winner).

Payment is not a problem.

The contests I did before I made sure the designers got paid right after the contest was over.

Also, I always offer something for designs that not won but that I could end up using. So instead of 1 big winner, you have 1 winner and 5-6 other designers that get a little $ for their effort.

any decent designer is not going to waste their time at a CHANCE to win $50. Save your contest for something with a little more substance and just pay to get a some banners designed.

:2 cents:

There are a lot of decent designers that would accept that.

And as I've said before, even if you don't win you may get paid if your design is nice.

Your prices start at $17.50

Why the fuck should I give you $200-$300 for 1 fucking banner????

Very nice the way you treat potencial customers.

Enderprise 10-28-2005 12:16 PM

Tranza, $40-75 is totally reasonable for both parties! What do ya think?
