TIP: Surfers like pictures of naked chicks. Sites featuring sunsets and butterflies don't generally convert well. I have however heard of some people converting quite well with goats.

I got a pretty nice cam and people to pose in front of it, it's not the problem.

But try it shoot all your own content and unless you're a gifted natural, you WILL lose money.
No surfer wants to see a site full of the same snappers average work.
Plus unless you live in LA, NY or somewhere similar you will soon run out of girls.

Also I disagree about having to live in CA or NY to find girls. The east and west coasts are fed with naive girls from the MIDWEST, where I am currently staying. I have more girls than I can shake a stick at and they cost much less.

i agree with bvf, anywhere you go theres always hot girls who need money or want to be a famous model.

On a more positive note. I've written a booklet that might be useful for a beginner in this field, at least in terms of finding models. You can find info on How to Recruit Models for Nude & Erotic Photography and Nude & Erotic Photography: Getting Started on a Budget by clicking on these links. The second one doesn't really recognize the existence of digital cameras (I'm working on updating it), but it still contains a lot of valuable information. The one on recruiting models is regarded as just about the best book on the subject, and if you look at all the girls on my main page (click on the siggy below), I either have model recruiting technique down to an art or I'm just the proverbial "Silver-Tongued Devil."

I usually try to shoot my girls naked .. does that help?

You are not an avarage shooter.
You have developed a knack of making a girl look normal and relaxed while doing the not normal and that is an art and sells. But if most guys shot those girls the results would have been disasterous.
