Fly Rolls Royce
Avoid Plane Crashes
I mean. what if they fail Result=plonk I myself am always comforted when I see Rolls Royce on a planes engine. The best of Great Britain. |
|
never seen the engine, but if i was going to pick one i would say that would be top 10
|
Next time you get on a plane look at the engine. they are usually Prat and whitney, GE or RR
|
fly british airways once in a while and you will see a RR engine. Boeing offers them but they are more expensive so a lot of airlines opt for a cheaper yet adequate engine.

Taken this past summer at the air museum in Hamilton, Ont. Can.
And yep...in the background is one of only two remaining Lancaster Bombers in the world that still flies on a regular basis. SilentKnight http://www.fetishopolis.com/kap-images/kamar04.jpg |

but by the numbers the majority of aircraft in the world fly behind lycoming or continental piston engines. and these old design piston engines are statistically VERY reliable. |
I used to work for Rolls-Royce and I may be biased but they are damn good!
