New HTML & WYSIWYG Editors...Any worth mentioning?

Every now and then a new HTML & WYSIWYG editor comes out. Any new ones worth mentioning? Do you program your own?

i have never touched a WYSIWYG editor in in my life...i always go with code editing, so much better

and I am using dreamweaver 8 right now, have been using dreamweaver for quite a while, ever since they stopped updating Homesite

Dreamweaver MX 2004

Fuck WYSIWYG -- learn to write it out by hand and you'll be way ahead of the game.

ROFLMAO...Notepad! I still use it!

I'm asking because of time restraints. PageBreeze is a mutlifunction editor that lets me edit like notepad and triple check stuff. It's really to the point and you know what you get when you program.

Another is BlueVoda but I haven't checked it out yet.

LittleSassy 10-26-2005 11:25 AM

Dreamweaver MX here too...although Notepad sounds challenging:)

Dreamweaver 8 is really nice. 'specially since I program a lot of Cold Fusion applications. Don't ever use the design view though.

jt420 10-26-2005 11:32 AM

dreamweaver and/or notepad is all you need.

Dreamweaver is still the best in my book :thumbsup

If I absolutely must use a WYSIWYG, then I use the old netscape composer 4.8

But then I still have to load it in ultraedit and fix al the fucked up code it writes, so i'm not so sure that it saves any time at all.

OMG!!!11!!!!! U GUYZ R SO FR33K!N L337!!! NOTEPAD ROXXX
[/sarcasm]

who gives a fuck if you don't code by hand. I use Dreamweaver as a WYSIWYG editor and it gets the job done. Go back clean up code later.

You deserve an award of you code by hand, you are awesome. I love you.

isn't dreamweaver WYSIWYG? I know it has source view but last time i used it, it was more visual than code.

i've been using ultraedit in the past then switched to homesite, after i started playing with php I can't use anything else except Zend studio, homesite's color coding too bold and ugly after zend it seems.

jimthefiend 10-26-2005 02:02 PM

dreamweaver and no other.

/end thread
