how do you make any money on a 50/50, im just trying to be real. what do you actualy make?$3 dollars a member. i know what i can actually pay and its 35% that way im sure the webmaster gets payed and so do i.

sorry - 50/50 is the minimum standard for revshare affiliate programs. it is VERY possible for you to make money paying out 50% - but there's alot of factors.

no matter how good your site is or how good a guy you are the truth is that nobody in this business will take you up on a 35% revshare offer.

I would promote a 35% program, but the site(s) would have to be amazing..

Best possible quality videos with all other sizes, downloadable, and multi video formats + multi photo sizes & quality, updated with a new full movie & photo set daily for the members and an rss feed for me.. oh yeah and a hard-coded tour/domain for me to push..

Then, I would take a pay cut..

35% why would anyone promote this low quality site at 35% when there's plenty more high quality sites that pay 50% & offer so much more.

I understand your comments & replies, and you are right that webmasters should do more work to earn more, etc. But, this is a highly competitive biz & you need to be within average to succeed. The average is 50%.

Start over. Get a new domain name & redesign the site.

50/50 & sure the percentage is higher, but you'll have many more webmasters pushing it. would you rather have a dozen webmasters pushing for 35% to a low quality, poorly designed site that likely don't convert for shit, OR 1000's of webmasters pushing for 50% to a high quality, well designed site that converts!!

I really don't care about the %. What matters is $$ earned/sent hits. But thats gonna be hard with only $8.75 per signup on your site. Hell, one sponsor pay me "only" 25%. But its a rare site almost no one else promote it, and the 25% is 20EURO per signup. The ratio is 1:180 (on outgoing clicks from my sites)... so where should I send traffic? :)

lol true i just got alot of time invested so i was taking it a little personal. so here is the deal i can afford 35%, if i realize i can make a profit after that ill up it giving you guys 50% . im not greedy, im just stressed.

On a serious note, when I was in adult I started with a sponsor who paid 40% on a 19.95 join. It is ridiculously low, but if you seperate all the joins and rebills in the ccbill admin you will see the average member came out to 52 bucks. I still get a weekly check and havent sent a single click in years. The site retains unbelievably. Its just really hard to get a seasoned webmaster to send to a 35% site. I was a noob and worked all my waking hours to send traffic to these guys, lucky for me I picked the diamond, albeit luckily. You ain't gonna get much affiliate traffic at 35% :2 cents:

but yeah, 35%... that's not high enough for me to want to take the time to promote it :)
remember, every customer an affiliate sends, is probably one you wouldn't have otherwise..

But don't forget, your start up costs are always higher then will be your maintenance costs. Sure right now you had to shell out a few bucks to get the site going but in a few months your costs will or should not be what they been to date. So, yes you may have to take a loss in your first few months but if they site is good and converts then your profit margin will rise after that and you can and will make money at a 50% payout.

So, if you do not want to go the route of 50% right now then just push the site yourself. Pay a design company to redo the site so it looks more "professional" and re-evaluate everything after a few months. If the site is making money by then, you can rethink your payout percentage. Just my :2 cents:
