I have an aunt and uncle who own a home and a small marina in Morehaven (Lake Okeechobee). Both got completeky wiped out. Sucks.

Lake Okechobee is susceptible to flooding any time there is a bit too much rain and wind. They've been hit hard before. That area of Florida sticks out like a sore thumb, 'Canes tend to rip right through there with little to stop them.

Sorry to hear, and if they need some help I'm sure we could get together here at GFY.

They've apparently lost EVERYTHING. The marina was a smallish one but all they had.
They had never evacuated before but for some reason decided to this time,thankfully so.

Any ideas would be appreciated Steve. I guess they are gonna just say fuck it and move back up here to Indiana.

I really appreciate the well wishes. As some of you might already know, I was recently laid up due to a hip replacement and was unable to do much but lay around watching tv on pain meds for several weeks. As a result, Im not in the position to help as much as I'd like.
