Bush's popularity went way up with the was against terrorism, and his domestic actions sucked, so he thinks in order to stay popular he has to play war.

He's doing just the opposite of his dad.. George Sr. stopped too soon instead of taking it all the way, while George Jr. is wanting to go to war with any and every country that he thinks has different views than he does.

you guys must be in your early twenties. Well, growing up in the 70's/80's, all we ever heard was how many megatons USSR had pointed at us, and how many nukes we had ready to shoot back. So excuse me if I am unconcerned with another cowboy president. I lived thru the Reagan Era, and this is nothing in comparison.

The American gov't signed a "contract" about being allies with some European countries, Israel, etc, etc and they cannot just let her allies get bombed without responding. Same thing will happen when the US will be in-need and her allies will help her. That's what the Union is all about.

I dunno...Reagan seemed mostly sane and quite intellegent. Dubya meets neither of those criteria.
