HELP, free money

Seems like we are having problems with one of our boxes.

sometimes when we submit galleries we get weird errors from scripts like:

domain not resolving
cannot resolve hostname
resolving domain www.homovids.com at IP www.homovids.com
302 found

seems like the server becomes unaccessable for different people from different parts of the world randomly

also, an ATX licence on that server stopped working, saying its an illegal copy

any ideas what the problem could be and how to fix it ?

Thats almost definitely something to do with your hosting. Sounds like an ip number issue to me. I am not sure exactly how ATX works but maybe they license it based on the servers IP and if your host switches your ip numbers... no workie.

Either way I'd be burning up the phone line to your host first.

this is the respond i got from jmbsoft's support:

Based on these errors it looks like there is some type of problem with your server's internet connection or internet configuration. The "could not resolve hostname" message means that your server is unable to resolve that domain name to an IP address. 302 found is an HTTP status code that means the gallery is forwarding to a different URL. If this does not seem right based on viewing the gallery, it is likely that your server is resolving the gallery domain to the wrong IP address. These are issues you will need to have your server administrator look into.

atx is licensed to the servers mac address, not the ip

So they might have swapped out the servers ethernet card for a new one or something along those lines?

Out the host. :)

Defintely the host. Either its hardware or bad programming. Also could be the hosts DNS records not setup correctly or a corrupt zone file.
