I use it.
I don't know about pros and cons because
I dont use it that much, only when I'm forced to.

I like it a lot..

I have both Office(ms) and openoffice

Openoffice handles all the XLS spread sheets fine and opens faster..

Havent ever needed to touch MS yet

Advantage = FREE, Just as good as office
Cons = None that I know of

well, there are situations where you dont have many options.
Like when printing to pdf.
I bet there are more options but I know this one and too lazy to
look for something else.

I find it a little slow, I use abiword and gnumeric instead.

now I can throw away my copy of office

I use it due to the price.

I use it and love it. Its a great free software suite.

Yeah, slow to load, interface is a bit laggy... I'm on a laptop running linux with a shitload of stuff running all the time (including VMware and winxp).
