    Help ripping DVDs

    Once I have it on my computer as a VOB file, how can I convert this to an AVI, or other format?

          canopus procoder should do it. VOB to MPEG/WMV/AVI

                      why don't you just rename the vob files to mpg?

                          just use a program like imtoo dvd ripper it rips it right to avi
                          I host with Vacares

                              I think there is a software that converts that file into AVI.

                                  You know that for a Fact? Proencoder didn't used to read xvid .avi files it was behind the times and certainly didn't read .vob files last time I used it. Does it read both of those fine now?

                                      procoder 2 reads vob and xvid, (1.5 reads xvid but not vob)

                                      videocharge does a good job and cost a ton less than procoder
