What Do You Spend Your Bonus Points From Visa/AMEX/MC On?
I have a couple of hundred thousand aeroplan points kicking around and am wondering what I should get? I just cashed in about 100,000 points a few months back for a PSP, IPOD music system and a few other toys.
I'm thinking I might save up for a all inclusive vacation to St Lucia for me and Mrs. DH... How about you guys, do you save up those points for a rainy day or do you just splurge every month on cool toys? DH |
My Amex points i use to transfer for flights n shit and starwoods points

I got a travel agent coming tomorrow to my office to show me a few packages they have. The Royal Bank rewards program really sucks unless you have the Aeroplan points but the USD visa doesn't offer them :(

Mark,
Best(rewards) card in Canada is MBNA's Starwood card. It looks sexy too. See: http://www.redflagdeals.com/deals/ma...icles/credit4/ (good article) and see the reward(s): http://www.starwoodhotels.com/luxury...propertyID=189 and the Bora Bora resort ($$$$$) |

Cool thanks for the heads up, I have the Amex Platinum Aeroplan card and it's been great! 1.5 points for every dollar spent and you get a ton of other cool benefits like first class lounge access and a ridiculous amount of insurance coverage. No preset spending limit helps as well :) I get a ton of compliments on the card whenever I use it... "Ooooh nice card", "I have never seen one of these before"... It's like the new black here in Canada LOL! ;) DH |

Yes I did :) I figure I got 4 years worth of points and I only redeemed them once I should use them up on something and travel is the only thing worthwhile. It just sucks going by yourself though. WG |

funny, i was just wondering what to do with my Visa rewards points
i still have no idea... |
I have a stupid AOL VISA with like a million points saved up. I could have free AOL dial-up until the day I die but obviously I don't need dial-up anymore. The only reason I still use the card is it has a low fixed rate that I locked in years ago and it has the highest spending limit of any card I've ever owned. It seems like any card with decent rewards either has a variable rate or a high fixed rate.

Oh wait, you're all dirty Canadians...you socialists get all the good free crap.
