I Know "Ctrl-z" is undo... What is the keyboard configuration to redo?
Sorry fucking newbie question here but I wrote up a big e-mail and pressed ctrl z by accident and I need to get the information back that i typed. What is the button configuration to undo or redo?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, DH |
try CTRL Z again.. it might undo your undo = redo
it really depends on which program you're using if it has a 'redo' hotkey or not |
Ctrl+Y

CTRL+Z again would erase the last entry before the one you just erased.
In most programs I've used that have a Redo feature, it's CTRL+Y. Let me know if it works. later c-lo EDIT: Damn, if I didn't type such a long-ass reply, this could have actually been useful. |
CTRL+Y or CTRL+R are the most used ones.
|
or ctrl+shift+z

I am not used with this short cut keys, thanks for sharing.

click edit and it should show you all the commands

While we're doing special characters, I know that alt+164 is ñ and alt+165 is Ñ, and alt+130 is é.
|
Thanks, I needed that as well.

Ctrl+W will close a window
Ctrl+Q will "quit" many programs, like Photoshop |
depending how you have your preferences, in PS anyway, ctl+alt+z will redo as many states as you've undone. But you have to have the "ctl+z toggles undo/redo" unchecked in the preferences. In PS7 anyway...

I can't believe how much time CTL C and CTL V have saved me since I discovered them. Didn't know about CTL Y, cool.
|
|
CTRL + Y, definitely...
