Tips and Tricks on Analyzing Competitor's Sites

No, I don't have any info on this, but I'm looking for some... I'm looking to analyze a competitor's site.. I already use Alexa for what it's worth... Are there other sites that can be helpful?

a long time ago must of been like in 01 I was very curious how a certain site was doing (mainstream) I was trying to decide if I should go into that industry or now.

Anyway I sent the guys a letter with a phone number saying im an investor and im serious about buying their site and can arrange to have the deal closed within a week, I have cash and everything and im ready to spend up to 700,000k I knew its way higher then they make but I was after conversion stats traffic stats and marketing info etc.

Sure enough within a day I had a complete report of everything including screenshots, financial records etc.

I never got into that biz THANK GOD

Wont work in many cases but my point is there is always a way to get info if you get creative

Something for you to check out. Free download trial so you can see how it functions.
IBP will check your competitors ranking on keywords your targetting as well as make very detailed comparison reports. You can also check your competitors keyword density per page, and spider them.

The sale page is gay and very mainstream but it's good stuff.

Kman, T3Report can help you see your competitors linking strategy to a point that they are not even aware of.

Feel free to contact me for details.
