I'm curious... are there people that spy register sites for people making searches for .com domains and by them out immediately?

Cause I was sifting through .com names for my new site, found a few available names. The next day when I come back, they are all bought!!!!

I type in the URLs of the pages that were available the day before and they are all shitty index/ressource sites... wtf is up with that?

Oh and to top it off, I WHOIS my domains, and they were all bought the same day I checked for them and all the info is "secured"...

you're right on the spot with this one...you'd have to be silly to look up names through registrars...the ppl who work at registrars have a very good chance to snatch that hot domain you had your eye on. friendly advice: do NOT use the 'check availability' feature on registrars' sites...

I score good domains all the time. I have mad domain shopping skills, and I'm a domain packrat/whore.

Report what? That you werent smart enough to buy the names when you saw them? Im sure that the registrars are smart enough to spy on domain queries - I sure would be - make my job easier

like i said, dont use the 'check availability now' feature....check up on a domain's A record instead. then register it if it's available.
