I want to sell a paysite today please. Maybe for 'best offer'.

I want to sell this site: Details are at http://xxxpierced.com/sale.html .

I had interest in it from several people for $10,000 but no one has the money and I didn't want to take less than that amount. Make me some realistic offer and mmybe I will. Please be sure you actually have the cash.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+

We have lost everything we own including our house in Wilma except what we took in our car which was some clothes, our cat, our safe and computers.

I have some cash on hand in my safe and some tools. I still need to buy chainsaws, wrecking bars etc. today because we're leaving at 0600 to go find our friends. I can only pull about $800.00 per day out of the bank and I feel there will be no working ATMs in Cancun and no places to buy supplies for quite some time as everything was under water from huge storm surge and extreme rain.

The last time I talked to my friend who owns a hotel which is the fallback shelter for Ritz he told me that the front of the building was lost and the back was taking severe damage late last night and they were running the generators intermitantly to pump out water. I lost communications with the cell towers about 9 PM and I can only call into the hotel on a landline when they have the generators running.

We are leaving our last possessions here (200 miles away) with some friends of our daughter and taking back tools, supplies, water and gas as soon as the army will let us pass. I think we may get all the way back tomorrow if everything goes well, if not, we will sleep on the road until they do. We promised our friends we were coming for them and I am going to do exactly that.

If you can use this paysite then I will help you with it all that I can when I get back online. I don't know when that will be, probably at least a week I think.

Today you can ICQ me at 121760557 or e-mail me here.

Thanks.

A-S-T

Obviously if I said we were going back to cancun well .. I'm not there. Believe it or not hotels in Mexico actually have wireless Internet.

Thanks man, appreciate you. I JUST talked to my friend managing the refuge hotel. He said the main lobby is up to the front desk with water but the structure is ok still.

I told him we are coming for them tomorrow.

I can't call you. I don't have LAN DSL to plug in my US phone, we only have wireless.

I have to go right now and do something for him to help them get more communications. BB later.

Adult Site Traffic 10-22-2005 09:59 AM

Anyone who wants to help can help just by bumping this thread. I have to grab a cab. BB in a few.

Thank you :)

So where are your money troubles?? you had insurance right?

sorry. don't mean any offense to you, but i see a lot of people on gfy using tragedy to sell off their assets... i.e.. domains, sites, tgps and other stuff they are having a hard time selling otherwise...

again, no offense to you.... but from your post i don't see that you are having money problems?

Bump for you anyways...

We are not using a tragedy. We have lived in Cancun for almost a year and couldn't get flood insurance living that close to the beach in Mexico unless we had a certain bank account and had been in Mexico 5 years. Wind damage is a different matter as everyone that went thru Katrina can attest. Our place was wiped out by the storm surge, not the wind.

We have many friends that lost everything too, but they don't have the means to recoup. We need to help them, not just ourselves. We are not asking for handouts...we simply want to SELL a nice paysite and use the money to get ourselves and friends out of this mess as much as possible.

Thanks for understanding......

BTW, the site has been for sale for a couple of months..we didn't just decide to sell it now.

Thank you, a lot of work went in to it. I didn't want to sell it cheap really, but now I can use the money for a good purpose other than buying toys.

News:

I talked with Cancun and they are right in the eye right now. I suspect in 1 ti 4 hours they will be back in hurricane winds. The storm has dropped to 115 mph so I guess now they just wait. They have taken the worst of the storm already.

I have credited my friend's phone which she has loaned to the hotel manager, my other friend. Odly, there is only one brand of prepaid phone (or any cell phone) that works to communicate.

They said there are crews trying to do rescue and clean up during the break of the eye.

Insurance companies dont want to pay for that shit. In MS and LA they are refusing to pay for any flood damage. Only hurricane damage where the hurricane brought the water in the windows. Fucked up huh?

That's true and the situation is worse in Mexico for coverage and claims. The only worthwhile insurance is issued by one of the banks for which we don't qualify time-wise.

Even auto insurance is sketchy at best and we carry full coverage US insurance coverage for Mexico and keep US current plates on our car for continued coverage.

But I'm not really doing this to cover our loss exactly, although I would use some of that money for furniture, we only (only, lol) possibly lost about 15 grand in furniture. I want to be able to help our friends too.

Update from Cancun: They are back in the storm. During the break of the eye our guard did a recon of the building with the military humvees.

We lost the palapa that is on the ocean (of course). We lost the palapa that is on the building side of the storm wall, the sea side of the building has taken a lot of damage. Some of the windows still have boards on them and others do not. There is glass everywhere and I assume there is people's stuff everywhere also, however, the building is not a total loss like we had expected.

I don't know how much of the 7 - 14 foot storm surge we got or how big the waves were on top. We expected the surge to undermine the stormwall and also the building foundation looking back at records from Hurricane Gilbert in 1988 which was 155 mph winds but the storm moved through much faster.

We could actually have some things left. I don't know which houses have boards left and which do not. Our house is on the second floor and we face the ocean. The other building runs perpendicular to ours.

Communication with Cancun is lost again. Storm is down to 110 mph CAT-3 and picking up spead to get the fuck out of the Yucatan ( :) )

Fletch XXX 10-22-2005 12:32 PM

guys, insurance companies dont give you shit when hurricanes come.

my mom is having to pay for almost all of her damage on her house and some people barely get anything because the insurance companies claim act of god or wind isnt covered or flood is or isnt. its pathetic, but having flood insurance doesnt really mean shit when making a claim.

the insurance companies dont care.

Thank you. I may have a buyer :)

Hurricane update: No contact from Cancun. US source tells me FOX has video in of the hotel zone but I don't get it here, any word? I heard a bridge to the hotel zone was down.

Eye is exactly on Punta Sam and leaving the Yucatan, it's gaining speed. Good. Get the fuck out of my town Wilma. :thumbsup

Tomorrow night I will have Pics, but I don't know if I'll be able to upload them to the web.

Insurance companies pay for what your policy says they'll pay for. I know when I was looking at ocean front property that was one of the things that scared me off - it's hard to find a company that will cover all hurricane damage. It's also why you read the terms of your policy so you know WHAT you're getting and not getting :)

Also, in the US, there are dozens of ways to borrow money for very low interest rates to repair storm damaged homes in declared disaster areas. It's not the best but if you're living paycheck to paycheck and don't have anything in savings for repairs, and you're living in an area you KNOW can get hit by a hurricane, you really can't ask for much more than what you bargained for.

Mexico isn't the US and even if it was like the US, our damage still wouldn't be covered. Before we moved to Cancun, we researched the area and the last major hurricane was way back in 88. It wasn't like buying ocean front property in Florida where they get hit regularly. If we had known the weather was going to change so drastically, maybe we would have chosen a different area.

We aren't selling this site because we live paycheck to paycheck....but when you have your money invested in other ways besides a typical bank account, you do what you have to do. We have had this site on the market for a while now and just decided that if we could sell it now, it may help out some people who really need it.

You didn't read the post obvously. We're not eligible for the account that has coverage.

We're not in the US and US banking won't touch Mexico until very recently, and not for storm damages anyhow. Believe me, I know about financing in Mexico.

Where exactly did you get this idea? We're not crying for our loss. We're going back to help people recover and rebuild their and our lives. Things happen. We deal with it. Do you see me begging? We're lucky enough to have a lot more resources that other people, including recent tragedies to US webmasters. Again, you failed to read the post before you responded with your 2 cents, which is typical of your usual style across the boards.

We're not asking for anything. Thanks for your support :)

Check the prices of hurricane insurance, especiallly if you live on the beach. Your eyes will bug out of your head.

It's not bad here actually, about $800 which is roughly $73.00/month. But we don't qualify for it. I would have bought it.

Enderprise 10-27-2005 10:07 AM

Best of luck selling it. Pierced girls are a great niche, someone will hopefully scoop it soon if it hasn't been sold already.

Martin 10-27-2005 10:09 AM

Thats a hot site. Surprised it hasn't sold yet.

Cory W 10-27-2005 11:25 AM

I know that what has happened with victims of Katrina and Rita has been nothing short of appauling (already mentioned by Fletch). Insurance is becoming more of a worthless investment than anything. You would almost be better off investing the money somewhere else.

I wish you guys the absolute best. No one is immune to tragedies such as this and they are never as simple to handle as everyone makes them out. Good luck with the sale of the site, I will certainly pass the information by anyone I can.
