FireFox error?

So, I went to that Asian palooza site, and Firefox started acting weird, so I bailed. Resources were running low and I figured I might be due for a reboot.

I closed Firefox altogether, then tried opening it again, and it tells me to pick a profile, with "default" sitting there, so I pick "default" and it tells me I can't use it, it is already in use.

Now it gives me the FF start page, and has lost all my bookmarks and passwords.

How do I get it back?

CTRL+ALT+DEL go to processes tab, look for firefox.exe and terminate it. Then restart FireFox normally.

I did that the first time, did not help. Rebooted, and it wants to act like I have never used FF before

haha. i was just explaining in another thread that this has happened to me quite a few times. you have to go to mozilla and it look up "editing profiles" or something similar to that and it will tell you where the book mark file is. if i remember correctly, i copied it to my desktop, converted it to html file and then imported them back into firefox... because i could not figure out how to just restore them.
