weird very weird

SmokeyTheBear 10-20-2005 06:37 PM

its strange because i can do regular searches , its just one particular search that sets it off

XAKEP 10-20-2005 06:38 PM

what's the search?

SmokeyTheBear 10-20-2005 06:40 PM

Coool, I get the same error too, wonder why. Last time I got something similar was when my application was wrongfully sending headers when simulating searches.

The Truth Hurts 10-20-2005 06:42 PM

yep.. get the same thing.

lchaim 10-20-2005 06:43 PM

I've gotten that several times man. Reason is I was pounding it with queries with a little windows app, grabbin some data.

:) Now to do any type of significant harvesting you gottt to use proxies. Although, who am I telling, you know that already I'm sure :thumbsup :pimp

SmokeyTheBear 10-20-2005 06:44 PM

it must have something to do with worms that attack forums

because try searching this

http://www.test.com/viewtoic.php?t=123

you should get the regular message

Sorry, no information is available for the URL www.test.com/viewtoic.php?t=123

If the URL is valid, try visiting that web page by clicking on the following link: www.test.com/viewtoic.php?t=123
Find web pages that contain the term "www.test.com/viewtoic.php?t=123"

usually though when that happens it will tell you to get a key not give a virus error warning.. i think it has something to do with worms because the exact same search with a misspell works fine , it just viewtopic? that sets it off

pornguy 10-20-2005 06:47 PM

OK, so dont search that anymore.

Dirty F 10-20-2005 06:53 PM

Why the fuck did you search for that?

budz 10-27-2005 01:14 PM

Chio The Pirate 10-27-2005 01:27 PM

YARGH! Yeah it's to kill harvestors, try "powered by script name here" it should give the same error when you click page 2 of results. It did when I had my coder um... trying some stuff :)

ElvisManson 10-27-2005 02:08 PM

if you go to that url is says right on the page:

i just used test.com as an example , you could use gfy.com and it gives the same error or a non-existing domain

if you read further on into the thread , i figured out why it was :thumbsup
