What happens if Saddam Hussein is found innocent?

Does he go back to being the Dictator of Iraq and we pull all of our troops? It would be crazy shit if a U.N. Tribunal found him innocent of all charges. :upsidedow

Nightwind 10-20-2005 09:53 AM

Yeah, innocent men usually hide in little holes in the ground.

fris 10-20-2005 10:04 AM

he wont be, he will die.

ronaldo 10-20-2005 10:06 AM

Presumably, he'd be a free man and able to run in the next election.

~Ray 10-20-2005 10:07 AM

we give him a free donkey and send him on his way.

Where should he go anyway? :upsidedow

Gunni 10-20-2005 10:16 AM

that would actually be the funniest thing ever to happen :D

CDSmith 10-20-2005 10:17 AM

A little bird told me that word through the grapevine says that they have some evidence against him.

I think he's going down.

Edit: KRL... nice pics. :D

u-Bob 10-20-2005 10:24 AM

will never happen.

~Ray 10-20-2005 10:27 AM

how many steps would he take before :BangBang:

casiragi 10-20-2005 10:45 AM

that'd be the best thing to happen..Super funny.. A big F U to the bush family.Too bad it probably won't happen cause they gonna kill him.

dig420 10-20-2005 10:52 AM

I don't think he's being tried by a UN tribunal is he? Isn't he being tried by the new Iraqi govt?

pradaboy 10-20-2005 10:54 AM

With the shit he has done he can't be found innocent. However they do have a point not acknowledging the tribunal. After all it was set up during occupancy by the US and funded by Washington.

Funbrunette 10-20-2005 11:03 AM

Two words... OJ Simpson :disgust

adrenalinedef 10-20-2005 11:04 AM

The Iraqi's have assured the world they will give him a fair trial before killing him.

baddog 10-20-2005 11:12 AM

Found innocent? Are you kidding? That would be like OJ, or Michael Jackson, or Robert Blake being found innocent . . . . . oh wait . . . . never mind.

Screaming 10-20-2005 11:13 AM

never going to happen

If you had watched the trial you would understand.

gangbangjoe 10-20-2005 11:40 AM

lol

usa is the judge

so they do what they want = saddam = dead

pornguy 10-20-2005 11:41 AM

As long as the US has a hand in it, he will be guilty.

Unfortunately, this is true.

I can honestly say that if I was on that jury, I would have had to acquit him, because a reasonable doubt existed in my mind-according to the law.

But he's still guilty as hell.

SirMoby 10-20-2005 01:05 PM

This is going to be a reality TV show for the American public in the likes of Joe Schmoe. Certain have already been decided and the verdict is one of those things. Everything that happens between now and then is just for show.

Rob 10-20-2005 01:06 PM

I know that it will never happen but it is the ultimate "What If" question.

uno 10-20-2005 01:16 PM

It won't happen and its impossible for him to even get a fair trial. A fair trial would give him a soap box for months to spout off whatever he wanted to. A lot of it would be truthful statements about the United States' role in the Iran/Iraq war. It would also give him lots of power. These things CANNOT happen from the USA's POV. The trial already is not in accordance with international law, as he should be tried in the International Criminal Court in The Hague like Milosovic. The death penalty would also NOT be an option in the international court.

psili 10-20-2005 01:23 PM

Never happen, especially if his defense council gets kidnapped like his co-defendant's Link to story.

detoxed 10-20-2005 01:24 PM

This has been setup so it is impossible for anything other than a guilty verdict.

I also don't think it would be considered due process to how he was brought to trial. In a fair trial, a person is presumed innocent until found guilty, but how do you presume Saddam is innocent after we've already invaded his country for his actions. Technically we should have tried him first, found him guilty, then invaded, although that wouldn't be 100% fair either as he would have never shown up to the trial. I don't see him coming out innocent, and if he does, George W would go down in history as a joke. I doubt he will let that happen.

Also, notice what they are trying them for. A 1982 massacre, what ever happened to the WMDs?

uno 10-20-2005 01:27 PM

You don't think Bush is going down in history as a joke anyway?

Yes he is , if they wanted it to be real they would of tried him at the hague but this is a show then he would be killed. The US doesnt want him tried anywhere they cant control because Saddam can start pulling all kinds of skeletons out of the closet. He was put into power by the US, remember the pic of him shaking hands with Don Rumsfield well that was after he gassed all those kurds with poison we gave him.So they want to control what happens.

leedogg 10-20-2005 01:38 PM

Prepare for the flying pigs if he is found innocent

justsexxx 10-20-2005 01:44 PM

It's a shame they show his trial witha 20 minutes delay. I wish it was realtime, and he would open a book aout all the countries that kissed his ass. Don't forget the USA supported him on the war first,...

Oh well the USA supported B. Laden too,,

Ace-wtf 10-20-2005 01:46 PM

it is a big stage

and the end is near

GlydeGirl 10-20-2005 01:48 PM

I'll start making popcorn... this is gonna be a long movie!

Why don't they try him for atrocities comitted in the iran-iraq war?

oh wait we were supporting him then, so that's ok

Sam Granger 10-20-2005 02:07 PM

Maybe he is innocent. :)

Markit 10-20-2005 02:23 PM

Does Saddam has the same lawyer as Michael Jackson?

:)

justsexxx 10-20-2005 02:28 PM

Just on the news, one laywer of a "friend" of Saddam is kidnapped.... Poor him :S

ServerGenius 10-20-2005 02:39 PM

He will get senteced to death on the first trial....(killing 145 men) the other
trials won't happen.....he'll be executed before that......I don't understand
why they try him first for the smallest case......oh wait I do understand.

The US doesn't want him to go further to trial....he might leak sensitive
information about the US being involved with the masacre of the kurds
and the invasion of Kuwait.

:2 cents:

ServerGenius 10-20-2005 02:41 PM

Oh and before all the Patriots start screaming US hater.....I love most of the
americans and admire the US for a lot of different things......unfortenately
politics isn't 1 of them :winkwink:

I think the problem that the OJ jury ran into is that he was guilty AND he was set up. If the LAPD hadn't went that extra mile trying to ensure his conviction (planting the glove etc) OJ would be in prison right now.

Once some of the evidence seemed to be suspect, it ALL became suspect and resulted in a murderer walking away free.

Th!nk 10-20-2005 04:12 PM

That's impossible, Bush hate him so much!
