How do you Get a Quick Divorce/Annulment in California?
A younger person in my life got suckerd by a very manipulative and not so mentally stable chick. He's in the Army and she's an ex-stripper or something to that degree. Love at first sight turned into a nightmare after they got married 2 weeks ago and he needs to get out and get out fast.
First it was I'm pregnant, marry me. Then it was I miscarried, marry me. Turned into I'm moving up, let's get married. Once married it was, You're a bad husband - we've been married a week and I'm not on your health coverage yet, no sex for you. Then, Total Class A bitch suddenly has a history of bulimia and making herself sick - ends up in the hospital, no sex since getting married. Now, she's so crazy she has a kid he didnt know about and the other family took it away. He's freaking out and knows he made a big mistake. They were married in Cali. Do any of you guys know how to get out of a marriage quick and easy to help this kid? :helpme LEGAL suggestions please LOL |
Whoopsies. Sorry I don't have an answer for you but, I wish him all the best.

I have a good friend lawyer in LA dealing with divorces, you contact him at http://www.sarrislaw.com for an appointment. Don't take legal advices from webmasters :)

Thats wacked. |
i also have had no sex since getting married

Thanks guys, I know not to take legal advice but any ideas or suggestions I'm sure he'd appreciate. Kid need some glimmer of hope at this point. Being on the other side of the country, Im a know-nothing about Cali laws or loopholes. He can't do much from Seattle.

The Army has resources for legal assistance, don't they?

Your brother doesn't take marriage very seriously does he? He jumps into a marriage cuz some bitch whined? Pretty lame. Anyways, sorry no info here either.. but tell you what your better bet is to call the city/licensing office instead of asking on gfy.. what I know is that annulment usually doesn't require a lawyer :2 cents:

If they truly were in love, which is the only reason to get married, then any problems that have surfaced or arisen since the "I do's" should be worked out. Anullment and divorce are cop outs.
<-- the last believer in the sanctity of marriage. I would encourage them to work out their issues before the jump into an anullment or a divorce. |
Great suggestion Raven and Peaches, I'll pass that along.
We all told him not to do it, to live together first. Kid went from mommies house to the army and has never had to worry about feeding himself nonetheless caring for a wife/family. She's been divorced twice already and they are both 26. Crying to mommy after being married a week! What a mess. |
i just don't understand why there is still a fascination with marriage these days.
all the best to your family member. |
I'd be interested to hear her side of the story.
